Description: One of the more beautiful and traditional destinations that we visit, and of course, the fishing is excellent too! Located on the Sea of Cortez that Jacques Cousteau described as "the aquarium of the world". Loreto is a family friendly destination with ease of travel, many dinning options, and 4 star hotel accommodations included in our All Inclusive Loreto Fishing Trip packages.
Fish Species & Prime Seasons: Trophy fish such as Striped Marlin, Dorado, Yellowfin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, and bottom fish such as Grouper and Snapper are prime July-Oct. Yellowtail are prime Mar-May.
Additional Activities: Whale Watching (Feb-Mar), Golf, Beach, Scuba, Mission Tour, Eco Tour.
Type of Travel: Option 1: Best for trips originating in the San Diego area. From the CBX San Diego (CBX fees are NOT included) we will walk across to the Tijuana Intl Airport to board a commercial flight direct to Loreto. All transportation during your trip while in Loreto is included. Departures and Arrivals are Thursdays and Sundays most of the year, additional flights available during some periods.
Option 2: Best for trips originating outside of the San Diego area. An international flight on Alaska Airlines from LAX will avoid any land based border crossing and reduce overall travel time to Loreto. This option may or may not incur a surcharge, ask about details for your requested dates.

Gear & Apparel; Tackle and gear is provided, however if you'd like to bring some or all of your own the following is recommended: Med. Action 6' rod w/ 4 to 1 or better retrieval rate (2 speed if you have it), 150 yds min. 25 lb line + mono, spectra, or braid with a top shot of spectra. 4 oz. to 8 oz weights and 3,4, or 5 size hooks. Jigs; Tady or Salis Jr. in scrambled egg, blue/white, green/white, blue/chrome. Dorado feathers in the summer months; green/red, white/blue, or purple/white. Live bait set-ups as well. Rapalas for a troll.
Standard personal fishing apparel such as hat, sunglasses, sunblock, camera, and cooler. Climate can be cold before sunrise and warm up to moderate temperatures by mid-morning in the winter and spring. In the summer and early fall temperatures and humidity are very high.

Description: One of the more pristine and remote ecosystems that we visit! Located on the Sea of Cortez that Jacques Cousteau described as "the aquarium of the world". Bahia de Los Angeles (Bay of L.A.) is protected by Isla Angel de La Guardia to its northeast and Isla San Lorenzo and its Reef to the southeast; this is the famed Yellowtail Alley! Bahia de Los Angeles is a fishermen's oasis, with a quaint but modern hotel, restaurant, and bar that is our Bay of L.A. headquarters, a great fleet of pangas and captains with generations of experience, and our expertise in logistics and coordination included in our All Inclusive Bahia de Los Angeles Fishing Trip packages.
Fish Species & Prime Seasons: Mar-May you'll have a chance at White Sea Bass and Black Sea Bass and various bottom fish. Season picks up in May with the arrival of the Yellowtail and begins to slow in October. From Jul-Sep is excellent Dorado, Yellowtail, Cabrilla, Grouper, Snapper, and the possibility of Sailfish, Striped Marlin, and Sierra. Jun-Sep temperatures and humidity are extreme, so be aware and be prepared.
Additional Activities: Swim with the Whale Sharks (Jul-Sep)
Type of Travel: Ground transportation begins in San Diego by van or SUV for the approximate 9 hour drive to Bahia de Los Angeles. About 2/3's of the trip is along the coast on highway MX-1 (the continuation of the Pacific Coast Highway) to El Rosario. From El Rosario MX-1 then turns southeast to cross the peninsula to the Sea of Cortez side where we will arrive in Bahia de Los Angeles. We will stop along the way for breakfast and lunch in Ensenada and the famed Mama Espinoza's in El Rosario before arriving at our destination for dinner. An available upgrade is a private chartered flight departing from Tijuana or Ensenada to reduce travel time. Ask for details.

Description: There's simply "No Place Like Mag Bay"; with a greater variety of fishing than any other place we visit. Magdalena Bay is a remote destination for the serious angler that's all about fishing! It's certainly a bucket-list item that never disappoints and provides memories and stories to be recounted long into the future.
Fish Species & Prime Seasons: Back water fishing under mangroves for Snook. Bay fishing for Grouper, Snapper, Jack, Whitefish, Cabrilla, and more. Offshore for Wahoo, Tuna, and Striped Marlin. Prime season for offshore fishing is Oct-Dec. Backwater is prime during the summer. Bay fishing and days of 60-100 fish are common year round.

Gear & Apparel; Tackle and gear is provided, however if you'd like to bring some or all of your own the following is recommended: 2 setups. (A) Med action 6' -7' rod (20-40) with casting reel or spinner for plastics, spinner, and live baits. 1/2 to 1 oz weights; round prefer no corners. Lots of plastics or spinner baits colored like shrimp or sardines. 15-20 lb. test hooks 1/0-3/0. (B) If offshore a trolling set-up 5' heavy rod with 3/0- 4/0 Penn or similar strength rod with 60 lb-100 lb line 3'-5' steel leader with 300 lb black swivels. Wahoo lures up to 16". Rapalas 9"+ 30' divers, Jet heads and/or cedar logs for tuna, Dorado feathers in popular colors of red/green, blue/purple, and white combos.

Description: San Quintin Bay and Isla San Martin that lies just off the coast is about 200 miles south of San Diego on the Pacific Coast of Baja California. San Quintin is well known for its agriculture, aquatic agriculture, sport fishing, and waterfowl hunting. San Quintin is not a tourist/family friendly destination as the focus is primarily on the fishing (or hunting) and agriculture, but will be dinning at some very good and well know restaurants and lodging at a great oceanfront hotel.
Fish Species & Prime Seasons: Halibut, Lingcod, Yellowtail, White Seabass, Bonito, Rockfish, Whitefish. From May-Sep is prime season. Fall and winter bottom fishing can be good as well, but wind and rough seas outside of the bay are possible.
Additional Activities: Wine Country Tour in Valle de Guadalupe outside of Ensenada. National Astronomical Observatory of Mexico, which is the second largest in Latin America in San Pedro de Martir.
Type of Travel: Ground transportation begins in San Diego by van or SUV for the approximate 4.5 hour drive to San Quintin. Most of the trip is along the coast on highway MX-1 (the continuation of the Pacific Coast Highway). We will stop along the way for breakfast or lunch in Ensenada before arriving at our destination for dinner at the famed Old Mill Restaurant (Molino Viejo) in San Quintin. An available upgrade is a private chartered flight departing from Tijuana or Ensenada to reduce travel time. Ask for details.

Gear & Apparel; Tackle and gear is provided; however, if you'd like to bring some or all of your own the following is recommended: Medium action rods 20lb-40lb typical 2/0-3/0 reels with fast retrieval. Live and cut bait scenarios along with jigs for Yellowtail (mainly heavy, but occasional surface iron (Salis and Tady's 6 S and Jrs.), crocidials (4"+) if White Seabass are active. Bottom fishing for Reds, Lingcod, etc. up to 300ft. 20lb-30lb line weights 1oz-8oz.

Description: The YELLOWTAIL Capital of the World! There is simply no place that we've ever been to or heard of that has better Yellowtail fishing. Cedros Island has become something of legend; a place were you can boat multiple Yellowtail per angler every day that approach the 50 lb mark. We use a newly built lodge and new pangas for our guest, that is operated by a close friend and associate of Fish and Hunt Outfitters, where you can rest and relax with all the amenities and conveniences of home after a day on the water. Cedros Island is about 15 miles from the mainland area of Punta Eugenia and approximately 325 miles south of San Diego in the Pacific Ocean. In addition to Yellowtail, there is good Calico fishing and the World Record Broomtail Grouper was caught off Cedros at 108lb 9oz!
Fish Species & Prime Seasons: Yellowtail is prime Jun-Sep. In addition to the Yellowtail, you can fish for Giant Black Seabass, White Seabass, Grouper, and Calico. Outside of the prime Jun-Sep time frame, big Yellowtail and the other species are present, but wind and sea conditions can be adverse.
Additional Activities: Snorkeling, diving, island exploration, and photography.
Type of Travel: Ground transportation begins in San Diego by van or SUV for a short ride to Tijuana (15 min drive) or Ensenada (1.5 hrs drive) where we will board either a private or small commercial flight to the island. While on the island all ground transportation to and from the docks is included.

Live bait set-ups with 2/0-4/0 hooks. Bait catching rigs for catching live bait, Sabiquis. Also bring plastics and rod and reel casting set-up for Calicos; casting back into rocky surf boils for Calico.
Standard personal fishing apparel such as hat, sunglasses, sunblock, camera, and cooler. In the summer and early fall temperatures and humidity are extreme, be prepared to be on the water until late afternoon.

Description: Ensenada lies just 90 miles south of San Diego on the Pacific Coast. This is the town where Fish and Hunt Outfitters began back in 2005. Its a close, drive to, family friendly destination with a multitude of dining, lodging, and additional activity options. Ensenada is an ideal destination for us to host large groups. We have organized and managed annual private fishing tournaments in Ensenada as well.
Fish Species & Prime Seasons: Yellowfin, Yellowtail, Dorado, and occasionally Bluefin, Albacore, and Striped Marlin from Jun-Sep when water temps peak. Year round bottom fishing for Red Snapper, Salmon Grouper, Rockcod, Lingcod, Calico, Whitefish, White Seabass, and more.
Additional Activities: Guadalupe Valley Wine Country, Nightlife, Culinary Exploration, La Bufadora Tour, Shopping. The World Famous Hussong's Cantina is in Ensenada; its the place where the Margarita was invented!
Type of Travel: We will travel from San Diego by van or SUV for a 1.5 hour drive down the continuation of the Pacific Coast Highway to Ensenada. All transportation to and from hotel, docks, and restaurants while in Ensenada is provided.

Gear & Apparel; Tackle and gear is provided; however, if you'd like to bring some or all of your own the following is recommended: Medium 6'-8' 20-50 to heavy 5'-6' action for both bottom fishing and calico casting. Weights 4 oz.-8oz. with hooks ranging from 2/0 to 5/0. Jigs for Yellowtail, Salis and Tady's usually the heavies for 70' to 110' but occasionally surface irons as well. Bottom fishing can go to 300 ft. at Soledad Reef and/or Banda Banks.
Standard personal fishing apparel such as hat, sunglasses, sunblock, camera, and cooler. In the summer temperatures and humidity mild, even cool in the mornings. In the winter temperatures and winds will most likely be cold all day.
