Yes, we generally carry a couple of 120 quart coolers on all trips that are traveled by land and have arranged for freezer space to handle all fish/game from day to day whenever possible. You will want to bring a cooler(s) to transport your fish/game back home with you. Fish cleaning and packaging is included. Game bird cleaning may incur a surcharge. Our big game hunts include cleaning and quartering your first animal taken, any taken there-after will incur a surcharge.
Yes, you may bring fish/game across the international border. Fish can be on ice or frozen when traveling by land. Game meat, by definition of the border regulation, is required to be cooked, a work-around to this is to boil the birds just enough to lightly "cook" the outer skin so that the presence of blood is not visible upon inspection. However, some clients do not like the effect this has on the game meat and option to bring the birds back on ice (when traveling by land) or frozen and raw. In the event we cross with birds that are raw, it is possible that they could be confiscated if we are inspected by an agent that strictly interprets the regulation. However, the majority of the time we cross the border without issue.
Yes, when traveling by air you may bring fish/game on board as checked baggage. It must be fully frozen and in a cooler that seals tight without ANY ice or liquid. Dry ice is permitted if available as a refrigerant. Have your coolers ready to be opened for inspection upon check-in, then secure the cooler lid with duct tape once the airline rep has completed their inspection. Flexible bag coolers are also permitted, but they must seal air and water tight. You are responsible for any and all oversize/overweight baggage fees charged by the airlines.
Items Not Included in your All Inclusive package.
Gratuities: In Mexico you should tip your captain/deckhand or guide/bird-boy about $20-30 per person per day. In the USA it is customary to tip your captain/guide about $75 per person per day. You will also tip your waiters, bellmen, drivers, etc about $5-10 per person per service provided. These are minimum recommendations, feel free to reward these persons for exceptional service.
Alcoholic Beverages: You will be responsible for all alcoholic beverage cost. Absolutely no alcohol may be consumed just prior to or during hunts.
Ammunition (for hunting): In Mexico ammunition must be purchased from our licensed guides at the ranches unless you are permitted to bring your own gun/ammo; from $15-20 per box. For hunts in the USA you will bring or purchase ammunition of your choice from retailers.
Bait and Fishing License (for fishing): The availability of live bait for purchase varies by location and season. When available, cost will range from $10-25 per person per day for live bait and about $20 per boat for frozen bait. Mexican fishing licenses are $12 per day per person. For USA fishing trips, fishing license cost will vary, please inquire.
Big Game Cleaning: Included in your All Inclusive Texas Whitetail Deer hunts and Texas Hog hunts is the cleaning and quartering of your first animal taken. If you take additional hogs or make arrangements to take an additional Whitetail Deer, there is an additional charge ranging from $40-80 per animal. At some of our ranches you may elect to clean and quarter your own game, while others require you to use the service provided at a surcharge.
Overweight/Oversize Airline Baggage Fees: You will be responsible for all additional baggage and weight fees charged by airlines. Please consult the particular airlines for more information to estimate these cost.
Extracurricular Activities: Unless you make arrangements with us to include extra activities such as tours, water sports, entertainment, etc; you will be responsible for the cost of these activities. Included in your package is three meals per day, you will cover the cost of any additional meals or snacks.
Cash, Credit/Debit Cards, & ATM's: Most of these additional expenses must be paid in cash. In many of the more remote destinations that we travel to; credit/debit cards are not accepted and functioning ATM's are scarce. When traveling in Mexico, US dollars are accepted and/or we can recommend money exchanges once in country for the best available rate.
Yes! We advertise basic All Inclusive packages and price points as a reference, but you may request to include, add-on, shorten, or extend the trips. We have organized trips from 1-10 days and with 2-40 people. We can fish or hunt multiple destinations or combine fishing and hunting (Cast n' Blast) into the same trip.
We have added additional activities such as winery tours in Texas and Mexico, whale watching in the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez, cheese processing and organic food cultivation on Mexican farms, scuba dive on ship wrecks in Key West, visit the Wright Bros Museum in Kitty Hawk, NC, a party night in New Orleans, etc.
For standard packages that are ground transportation only, we can add private air charters; which means more time on the water or in the field and less time getting there and getting home. And for those with a condition or fear of flying for those trips that include air transportation, we can forgo the flight for ground transportation.
Please note, that the prices we advertise are based on minimum number of travelers and minimum number of days fishing or hunting. If these minimums cannot be meet or you would like to customize the trip in some other way; NO PROBLEM, but there will be an increase in cost.

Yes. Only our Mexico hunts include gun rentals at this time. You will need to bring a shotgun of your choice for wing shooting and ammunition.
For Texas Whitetail Deer hunts we recommend a .270 caliber and up rifle or 12 gauge rifled slug gun. Have your gun sighted in at 100 yards and be prepared to make shots from 15-200 yards for Texas Whitetail Deer hunts.
For Texas Hog hunts we recommend a .270 caliber or up rifle, 12 gauge rifled slug gun, or a 12 gauge shotgun shooting 00 buck. For night hog hunts you will need some type of illumination fixed to your gun; this can be as simple as adding a gun mounted tactical style light with a red or green lens or you may outfit your weapon with night vision equipment. Make sure you are either experienced with this equipment and/or have tested it well in night conditions prior to the hunt. You will be hunting an aggressive animal that move and feed in packs, at close range, in a ground blind, at night; AND this animal will hunt you back. So be prepared!
DO NOT bring an AR-15 or other weapon chambered in .223/5.56! Anything less than a perfect shot on a thick skinned "hogzilla" and it will run off to die elsewhere and be lost. And if you get the opportunity at a "buck of a lifetime", the same thing can happen with the smaller caliber rounds. Blood = a Kill.
FISHING. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided. But most of our clients tend to be avid fishermen that prefer their own equipment, so you are welcome to bring as much or as little of your own gear as you like. And of course bring the usual hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, and weather appropriate clothing. Our striper fishing at Lake Texoma is top water artificial lure only; that equipment is also provided.
HUNTING.
- DOVE. You will want to have a bucket with swivel seat or collapsible type outdoor chair. Plenty of water and weather appropriate clothing that will shield you from the sun but remain as cool as possible.
- DUCK/GEESE. Chest waiters, layered clothing based on weather forecast.
- HOGS. Mud boots, tactical gun mounted light with red or green lens or night vision scope. .270 caliber or up rifle or 12 gauge shotgun. NO AR-15's chambered in .223/5.56!
- WHITETAIL DEER. Mud boots, layered clothing based on weather forecast, scent cover-up.
- RIO GRANDE TURKEY. Full concealment camouflage, decoy, turkey calls.
- VARMINT. Mud boots, tactical gun mounted light with red or green lens or night vision scope. Small caliber rifles such as .223, .243, and 25-06 are popular as well as shot guns.
